2010 Results

Winners: Another fantastic day of stone skipping had 567 1/2 in attendance to watch and participate in this years event.  World renowned Russ ‘Rock Bottom’ Byars who won the Pro division with an impressive skip of 30. Second place went to Todd ‘Mussels’ Callewaert with a 26 skip & rounding out 3rd was Glenn ‘Hard Luck’ Loy with a 22 skip. The open  was won by Max ‘Batman’...

2010 Gerplunking Contest

Wow, what a year! 31 contestants competed in the Gerplunking Contest. The prize, as in years past, was a beautiful pendant necklace made of a stone with a natural hole worn through it found on Mackinac Island by our Gerplunking Judge, Doc Crain. The Piskie boys were sad to miss the annual stone skipping competition this year since they are 3,489 miles away in Holland, so they did the next best thing. Their papa found them a castle with a great moat just a short tram ride, a 45 minute train ride followed by a 3 mile hike away. William’s best skip this year was 6 and he was thrilled since he is 6. Henry’s best was a 3 but he claims it bounce 3 more times...
